Lily is a lovely young girl. She has had a traumatic childhood experience, and she has severe anxiety from the trauma she had when she was a baby. She does not cope well when separated. We need to fundraise money to be able to afford her therapist’s treatment, or this PTSD of abuse and separation will continue to enlarge and cause further issues.
I am Lily’s grandma. Lily’s father passed away from a heroin overdose when she was 7 years old. Her father physically and mentally abused her mother, who is my daughter. He also forced my daughter to use heroin. Both of them couldn’t take care of Lily. Lily started to stay with my husband and me when she was only 3 years old. Lily started having some mental health issues when she was only 4 years old. We started her in play therapy and got her on an IEP in a preschool. She hated any changes to her routine and tried to control all aspects of her 4-year-old life. Hated to be told no. Friends, family, and all situations had to go her way or things were thrown, broken or she would hurt her brother or hit us. Lily has severe emotional outbreaks. Sometimes physically hurting me, or a sibling or threatening to kill herself or us. She has severe anxiety and still struggles to leave me, especially in unfamiliar situations. She has severe control issues and cannot handle being told no or when anything is out of her control. Lily is in equine therapy, and it is very good for her. But she is currently unable to attend because we cannot financially afford to send her and insurance does not cover it. Lily has two younger brothers. My husband and I have legal custody of three of them. It is very hard for us to raise three grandchildren. My husband is 70 years old, he has had to continue to work due to raising grandkids, but recently has been unable to work due to multiple surgeries/health issues.
