Hi, my name is Ann.

This is the hardest story I’ve ever had to tell, but I believe God meets us in our deepest valleys—and sometimes He uses community as the answer to prayer.

In November 2022, I lost my four-month-old baby to SIDS. There are no words for that kind of pain. As a mother, it broke something inside of me that I’m still learning how to live with. I leaned on my faith, even when my heart felt shattered, trusting that God was holding my child when I no longer could.

But the losses didn’t stop there.

In 2024, while still grieving my baby, the weight of trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and depression caught up with me. I lost custody of my children—a pain that feels like a living grief every single day. I wake up praying, crying, and believing that God is not finished with my family, even when the road feels unbearably long.

Then came another devastating blow.

A week ago my sister passed away unexpectedly.

She was so close to a new beginning.

Now, during the holiday season—a time meant for family, warmth, and togetherness—I am grieving a sister, a child, and the absence of my children all at once. While others gather around tables, I am trying to gather the strength just to keep going.

I am asking for help to travel and lay my sister to rest with dignity, while also keeping myself afloat during this season of overwhelming loss. The funds raised will help cover:

  • Travel and burial expenses for my sister

  • Immediate living expenses during this crisis

  • Mental health recovery and basic stability so I don’t lose my home or job

I believe in a God who restores, who redeems, and who carries us when we can’t carry ourselves. I also believe that sometimes God answers prayers through people who feel led to help.

If you are able to donate, please know that you are not just giving money—you are giving hope, dignity, and breathing room to someone trying to survive unimaginable loss. If you can’t donate, sharing this or keeping my family in your prayers means just as much.

Thank you for reading my story. Thank you for being light in one of the darkest seasons of my life. I trust that God sees every act of kindness and will bless you in return.

With faith and gratitude,
Ann
