This past summer, I separated from my marriage and moved with my kids into a new home. Just months later, I was laid off without warning. Since then, I’ve been working tirelessly to find a job while driving for Instacart and DoorDash to keep us afloat. Despite these efforts, I’ve fallen $4,000 behind on rent, and the risk of eviction is very real.
I’m working closely with my landlord to stabilize our housing, but I urgently need help to close this gap and keep a roof over my children’s heads — especially with Christmas approaching.
