****UPDATED AMOUNT****$16,500****Due to COVID, everything was put on hold but we will get there!****

šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰ May 2021…we are still pushing forward! Road block after road block in 2020 and having to change facilities twice…I am currently awaiting approval for the BEAT-MS trial in Denver. I have already been accepted by the treating physician and had all pre-testing but my insurance has denied the treatment on an off-trial basis. If that falls through we are scheduled for HSCT in Puebla, Mexico in June! We sold our home back in January to fund the majority of HSCT. We are only short $16,500 and the money is due by May 28th! We have sacrificed so much as a family to make this happen. Any amount that you or your business could give would mean the world to me and my family. Thank you! šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰

February 2020…My name is Misty, 37 y/o wife and mother of two children. Also a nurse…until MS stopped me in my tracks in the summer of 2017. I was diagnosed with RRMS 11 1/2 years ago, but began having symptoms about 20 years ago. Over the years I have taken five disease modifying medications. For the past 3 years I have been on the strongest of the medications currently used to help minimize flares, however last summer IĀ  had an enhancing lesion in my brain even with the most potent of meds. There is a treatment that can actually STOP MS from progressing. That treatment is called HSCT, hematopoietic stem cell transplant, a chemotherapy-based treatment that will reboot my immune system using my own stem cells. I have been accepted for treatment by the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. This is the only facility in the country that offers this exact treatment. HSCT is performed all over the world with great success in halting progression and in some cases repairing old damage, but the main goal of treatment is stopping the disabling effects of MS. The success rate is 85%! My insurance carrier has denied the treatment as one for MS and also UCMC is not in their transplant network at this time, although it is currently the only facility in the U.S. offering this treatment. I will fight them on this but as of right now they will not cover any of the cost. Problem is, with HSCT timing is essential. Basically, the sooner the better. This procedure has been performed, trialed and proven. Neurologists around the world are calling HSCT a “cure” for MS. I must pay $2,000 before that time and the balance of $68,000 prior to transplant. Asking for help isn’t easy but I am desperate to be the wife and mother that I was before MS took so much from me…and them. Thank you so much for your support!
