Breath Of Life Christian Church was launched 3 years ago on October 6, 2013. From the very beginning, our mission has been to meet not only the spiritual needs of our community, but also the physical and emotional needs. We are humbled to have been given the opportunity to operate our church out of the former Eastpointe Community Center on Eight Mile Rd in Eastpointe, Michigan. Eight Mile serves as the dividing line between the suburbs and the city. It has always been our goal to help bridge the dividing line that often exists between the city and suburbs by bringing people together, serving one another and growing together. In just 3 short years we have had a tremendous impact on our community through our food pantry, community picnics and dinners, free outdoor jazz concerts, spiritual guidance counseling, door to door prayer outreach, harvest parties for kids, back to school supply giveaways and more. The city of Eastpointe has made the decision to sell the building since the city no longer uses it as a hub of operations. We are currently renting the building from the city, but we would like to be able to purchase the building so that we can continue what we started, as we have already established a reputation of service in this community. In addition, we would like to be able to implement more community service initiatives such as after school programs, senior feeding and education. The building in which we currently operate is a perfect fit for what we are doing and we would like to finish what we have already started! Unfortunately we are not currently in a position to buy the building but with the help of friends and family, what seems impossible can be made possible.
