Sam Busenitz is a 61-year-old, godly husband to wife Jennine, father of four married sons, and grandfather to six grandchildren. He is a hard-working Kansas farmer, on a small family farm. On the farm, he and two of his sons, finish cattle and raise corn, wheat, and soybeans. He is involved in a small Bible church in Elbing, Kansas, where he has enjoyed serving his Lord as a worship music leader.
In mid-April, 2024, he started having stomach pains that wouldn’t go away. This began his journey. He underwent many different medical tests. Lab work showed a high CA 19-9 cancer count, a CT scan showed a mass in the pancreas, and the biopsy on June 18, 2024, confirmed invasive carcinoma of the pancreas (pancreatic cancer). Since the cancer had spread to his liver, lungs, and lymph nodes, it was labeled as a stage 4 cancer. The next step in the journey was to determine what kind of treatment to pursue. It was decided that the best treatment for his aggressive, pancreatic cancer would be a more holistic approach that would use both traditional and alternative therapies and procedures to treat his cancer. The most recent step in his journey was on July 10, 2024, when he began these integrated treatments for his cancer in Phoenix, Arizona.
Unfortunately, this type of cancer treatment is costly and is not covered by his healthcare sharing company (an accepted alternative to regular health insurance). Money is being raised to help offset the cost of the medical and travel expenses that are being incurred for his cancer treatments.
