On 2/11/24, I had what was supposed to be a routine day surgery to remove a large ovarian cyst and both fallopian tubes. Unfortunately, I sustained major complications, not least of which was requiring emergency surgery the next morning to evacuate 700 ccs of internal bleeding while receiving a blood transfusion. I was in the hospital for 4 days, largely immobile for 3.
I have lower blood pressure at baseline, which was problematic for diagnosis, and I was tachycardic for almost 20 hours before the second surgery.
Bleeding disorders and other scary things have been ruled out; however, I’ve had so many appointments and specialists and have more coming up.
I continue to improve in spite of consequences from my surgical complications that affected several organ systems. I am currently working through a plateau from pinched nerves likely due to muscular weakness after surgery. I so badly want to get back to work!!
I know I will get there soon enough; however, PFML assistance is nowhere near enough to make ends meet. My credit cards are wracking up again and my account is overdrawn, relying on overdraft protection.
I would really appreciate your support to lessen the impact of upcoming rent, health insurance, credit card bills, other bills, SO MANY COPAYS, medications, gas, groceries, Uber/Lyft to MGH appointments because I haven’t been able to drive for a week due to severe pain.
Every dollar counts. Would you mind helping me out with this? I promise to pay it forward whenever I am able ❤️.
Thank you so much for reading!
