Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal. My name is Melinda and I am in need of a double hip replacement. I am bone on bone in both my hips from arthritis. My health and mobility have declined rapidly in the last 3 months. I am no longer able to do social activities as I can’t stand or walk without a great deal of pain. I have difficulty with daily tasks such as cleaning my apartment and doing the shopping. I have a full time job but I only receive minimum wage. I love my job and I am so thankful that I can still work, but it is becoming more difficult with time. I have insurance but the deductible and out of pocket expenses and several months wages for me. I am asking for help to meet those expenses and also a bit to live on while I am recuperating. I have two weeks of PTO that I can use but the recovery is expected to be 6 to 8 weeks. I plan on returning to work as soon as my doctor releases me. It could be less than 8 weeks and I am going to work hard with PT to get back to a regular life again. I appreciate any help with the expenses. I just want to be able to be able to participate in life again without the pain. Thank you for considering my request.
