I’ve been trying to stay positive but it’s hard. Prices on everything are going up and we’re still struggling to bounce back. Hello, I am a 43-year-old mother of 3 and I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in January of 2023. It took us totally by surprise. I finished chemo in August and am cancer free at the moment. However, I have a gene mutation which raises my risk for breast cancer to 80% and I have a lesion on my pancreas so I will be seeing 2 new oncologists soon. My husband takes me to all of my appointments and has had to miss work quite frequently. I am a stay at home mom and homeschool my youngest child, so we are a one income family. I have a few medical bills that I have not been able to pay. We have also fallen behind on bills and rent and just need a little help catching up. A few weeks ago, my husband was rushed to the hospital from work because he had a pain in his chest and stomach, he was also clammy and was having trouble breathing. Luckily, it was an issue with his intestines and not a heart attack, but this has also added to medical bills that have not been paid. He ended up missing a week of work which caused us to fall farther behind on our bills. Our landlords have been extremely understanding and patient with us and we would like to pay them as soon as possible as well as pay off our medical bills and other bills that we have not been able to pay. Any help would be greatly appreciated by my husband, my children and myself. **UPDATE** My husband is back at work but we are still having trouble bouncing back.
