My name is Jesica Colin.
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Consequently, before my first surgery, it had metastasized to my lymph nodes. Now, the cancer is rapidly spreading throughout my neck.
I am a mother of four—two boys and two girls—who I love with all my heart as well as a wife to a hardworking man who is determined to help me in any way. My husband and I work to provide for our family and give them the best life that we can. However, despite the extra shifts we take on, we continue to struggle financially. In addition, I do not qualify for any medical assistance, so I am unable to afford my radioactive iodine procedure to treat the cancer as well as succeeding procedures. The income my husband and I make is not enough to cover the expenses this illness brings.
I have had three surgeries with no luck. In my last surgery, 18 lymph nodes were found positive for cancer; it is inevitable that more have been infected.
I have to admit, I feel scared and overwhelmed. I feel scared for my family and for myself and I am overwhelmingly worried and anxious about what the future will bring us. I love my family dearly and I do not want to leave my children and husband behind. It is too soon.
So please, I am asking for your support: anything helps. My family and I will be so grateful for your kindness.
Thank you so much and God Bless You!
