Dear Friends and Community,
We are reaching out to you on behalf of Melissa Rickbell and her family during an especially difficult time. Melissa is a devoted mother to Anna, who is 16, and Kate who is 10. Since April 2025, Melissa has been facing serious and ongoing health challenges. Her journey has included a hospitalization at Sanford in Bemidji, multiple visits to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and most recently, extensive testing and a bone marrow biopsy back at Sanford.
Melissa is a caring and hardworking individual who gives so much of herself to her family and to those around her. Unfortunately, her illness has made it impossible for her to maintain her regular work schedule. As a result, their one-income household has been stretched thin, adding financial stress to an already overwhelming situation.
This is where we, as friends, neighbors and community members, can come together to help. By supporting this fundraiser, you are providing more than financial assistance-you are offering hope, stability and comfort to Melissa, Anna and Kate during a time when they need it most. Every contribution, no matter the size makes a meaningful difference in helping with medical expenses, travel costs for appointments, and everyday household needs.
Your generosity will also remind Melissa and her daughters that they are not facing this journey alone.
