Maryi had a clear vision of owning a farm one day. She did that with less than 30,000 in the late 1980s. Mary thought she just bit her tongue in July. September we knew for sure it was tongue cancer. Mary had a strong belief in refusing the suggested 12 hour surgery. Mary passed away 12/9 /2025. Mary had investment rentals that she thought she would sell one day. These funds were planned to use to sustain the farm. During Covid she was forced to sell these properties at a great loss.
Sunshine Farm has grown to hosting students interested in our growing techniques and lifestyle. We are part of an educational exchange program for which we receive no financial compensation . We do it to spread our love and enthusiasm for what we do on Sunshine Farm. This campaign is to raise funds for taxes and operational expenses. We pay around 2,300 a quarter in taxes and around $400 a month in utilities. Right now Nancy must take care of all operations of the farm. Some part time caregiving work may trickle in but there is a lot that needs to be organized in the next couple months. Sunshine Farm and Learning center is also a wonderful place where people give and find spiritual support. Nancy is in the process of finding like minded people to help keep the farm prospering into the future. Right now any help is greatly appreciated to get Nancy through the winter months. It is a sad time right now without Maryi , so we welcome all positive thoughts and prayers.
