My name is Kelly and I am 55 yrs old. At 52 I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Today last week I started chemotherapy for my 3rd reoccurrence. 2 of the chemo meds I had a very bad reaction that the had to discontinue the med. I know this will be my demise but I am unable to work. I would love to take my family on 1 more vacation where we all can stay in the same place and I can make some last memories with my kids. I hate asking but 3rd reoccurrence is not a good sign. I will fight as long as I can. I can say what was important to me before is such petty thing. Family will be your best investment over anything else. Hug your family member everyday and tell them you love them. I am learning to enjoy life everyday. Ovarian Cancer is not tested for during a yearly pap. Be your own advocate and ask your doctor about Ovarian cancer and the symptoms. I hope I can help 1 person reach it early before it has spread. No one has ever told me about Ovarian Cancer. 20,000 females will be diagnosed every year. I am excited to say there is research going on for new drugs to hopefully cure Ovarian cancer. I want to thank everyone for taking time to read this. I am grateful if anyone donates to give my family a vacation with me. I always want my kids to remember the good time with me. I know they will be ok but a Mom always worry. My daughter say I want you at my wedding and meet your first grandchild. As much as it hurts. I tell her I am fighting everyday.
