My name is Cheryl. I am a recent widow and Stage Four Lymphoma Survivor reaching out for your help to stay in our home.
The impact of these life changing events has been a real financial hardship. The costs of losing our second income, paying probate legal fees and covering my medical care expenses have been overwhelming. I also had to take a one year medical leave of absence from work.
I am blessed with a strong faith, prayer group and the miracle of the recent development of a new monoclonal antibody that have helped to save my life. The cost of this newly discovered medication alone per year of inpatient infusion treatment has been $360,000. I am so thankful to have been able to receive this new treatment.
I am now in complete remission and my next Hematology Oncology follow up tests and visit are this coming Tuesday, July 22, 2025. I have been able to return to work teaching and have picked up extra responsibilities to help defray expenses.
I am reaching out because I still owe property taxes and interest that accrued while I was fighting for my life. I need to pay $33,000 including taxes, interest and legal fees to avoid a foreclosure sale at the end of September.
Any help you are able offer is much appreciated. My husband designed and built many aspects of our home, and it means the world to me to stay here.
