Hello everyone, my name is John Hagans, and the reason I am creating this fundraising campaign is that I am now living in a nursing home called Mariah Joseph Nursing Rehabilitation Center. I was forced to decide to stay here because I am a quadriplegic, which means I’m paralyzed from the neck down because I broke my neck when I was 19 years old, so now all I get is 30 dollars a month, instead of my usual 940$ that I was accustomed to getting each month. So that being said, my desktop computer is old and very close to breaking down, which is the only way I can communicate with the world outside of my room, like emails, my family and friends, and my son I also write poetry on it and create art, but if the power supply goes out completely that’s gonna cost alot to have someone take it apart and put it back together also the back usb ports are going out and some have already been broken so it’s very close to it’s last days and if it breaks down I don’t know what I’ll do because it’s my world!
Also I feel I should also add this to my campaign that the way I work on my computer is with a digital headmouse from a company called NaturalPoint and the headmouse is called SmartNav, which I use in conjunction with voice commands from two different software one called Dragon Dictate Naturally Speaking and the other called Tazti which you can write and script your own personal voice commands
