I am a 3-year Multiple Myeloma survivor. I am still under treatment with a oncologist. Had to have a PET/CT scan done in June to see if I had any new lesions and thank God there were no new lesions. I made the assumption that my insurance would cover my procedure but did not realize that it was out of network and was responsible for the $2722 and insurance would not cover that. I have appealed but have been denied. I do not have the money to pay the bill and would like you all’s help. My wife is about to go through spinal surgery this Thursday the 30th 2025 and is tying up most of our money so she can get the help she needs after being miss diagnosed a year and a half ago. Anything will help, no amount to small and no amount to large. I have submitted to the provider a request to post pone going to collections and they did any way. I have talked to the debt collectors and requested a stay for 30 days while I try to figure out what to do. They have agreed to hold off. This has been one hell of a roller coaster ride for sure. From first diagnosis to stem cell transplant to maintenance program which consist of 21 days of Revlimid, which is a chemo pill that I am on for life or until they find a cure. If you could find it in your heart to help a cancer patient just wanting to lead a somewhat “Normal” life, it would truly be a blessing to us.
