My daughter’s cancer is the reason I am opening this Campaign. In the photo below, Maryann is the mother seen to the right or top in the picture She was diagnosed with Colon cancer a little under a year ago and it is stage four because it is now metastasized to other organs and her chemotherapy has not been as effective as they thought it would be. Her treatments and the costs associated with her care have been great and Maryann is unable to work full time because of the effects of both the cancer and her treatments. Alan her husband needs to be at her side and drive her to appointments so he is no longer working enough hours to meet their living expenses. Other family members are trying to help meet Maryann’s needs but her financial needs have become very great. For instance she has been trying to get into a study to treat her cancer with the latest medications but she does not live in an area of the county where these studies are taking place, so she has to take frequent plane trips. Sometimes airlines can accommodate the needs of cancer patients to have lower cost or no cost tickets and sometimes such as now they have no free or reduced cost tickets. Just buying groceries is becoming a serious issue because of other bills such as the house payment and car payment and too little income. Any amount you can send will be very appreciated.
