Welcome to The fourth round of Jen’s Cancer Knockout.

The doctors have said three times now that “it’s gone” for it to turn around and come back. These boss battles are getting ridiculous.
As you can imagine, it’s tough. It’s tough to face it. It’s tough to go through it again. And it’s tough to ask for help again. The family is tired. You’re tired. We’re all tired. (And the world is… wow.) But as Bernie says, “We are once again asking for your help.”
The cancer is back, but now it’s spread to Jen’s organs. She is currently blind in her right eye and that may not change. She’s back in chemo, this time a more aggressive version and more frequently. This type of chemo has been effective before, so we’re hopeful – but more aggressive against the cancer means it’s also more aggressive against Jen.

Jen’s whole job right now is getting better. She’s taking a leave from work at OHSU. She’s taking a leave from work at Ops Fest. She’s focused on fighting today’s bouts and resting up for her next one. Dustina has also taken leave, as she  is Jen’s primary support person and running the household. The boys are working between helping out at home.

So yeah. They need us.

These funds will go to the Medical Copays for multiple weekly visits to the hospital, weekly home-care visits from nurses, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Medication, a special diet for Jen, medical equipment and mobility aids, and fixing the ramp in the van so Dustina can more easily accompany Jen to the chemo visits. Yanno. The little stuff.
