Desperately in need of help for funds leading to healing
Health complications have affected a majority of my life. There were lots of ear aches as a child, and had to have tubes placed in my ears. A sleeping disorder was the next major complication beginning at twelve years old. It took a couple of years of having episodes of this disorder before a neurologist gave a diagnosis of Kleine-Levin Syndrome which lasted into my early twenties. Sometime within the teenage years I was told that I would be on antidepressant medication for the rest of my life, so there were/are times when I battle clinical depression when not taking those meds. The latest complication, before this one, was a traumatic brain injury the day before Thanksgiving in 2018 when I was working unsafely and fell off of a step ladder on unlevel concrete in a wash bay. That accident nearly took my life; it did take a piece of my skull and left a visible scar along where the skull was stapled together in order for it to fuse back together. My Father in Heaven kept me around and has guided me to where I am now. Albeit, this place being another health obstacle. I will overcome this one with help from Brothers & Sisters and generous donors!
My occupation is with students and helping them make better choices as well as helping them ride safely to and from school. Specifically, Proctor for In School Suspension and a safety monitor for Durham Transportation School Services. These jobs are very important & necessary, and I feel “called” to do what I do. However, these jobs only meet my basic needs. Therefore I am in need for a lot of serious financial assistance!
I had surgery to collect a sample to get a biopsy, and now have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (small cell) located at the very base of the tongue behind the lymph node in my neck.
My decaying bottom teeth needed to be extracted before the treatments could begin. The gums are finally healing, so I hope to eventually have a bottom denture. The $700 which I paid to have the extractions done has totally bombarded my budget! So I need your help . . .
By faith in Jehovah Jireh I make this plea!
I will list my financial issues from most immediate to least important (for now)
Immediate Necessities
$70 – by Tuesday 3/31 for my copay
$70 – before Thursday 4/2 to attend “Chemo Teach”
$280 – To pay the Dr. who retrieved the sample for biopsy
$619 – remainder of payments for the surgery to retrieve the biopsy ($103.13/month before the 14th of the month)
$2,730 – 39 radiation treatments
Chemotherapy will begin before radiation. However, I do not have the pricing just yet. Will include those when ascertained.
