Angels in Motion pledged $300.00 for my first week and a half living at a sober living home, however the rented room is two hundred dollars per week, so I needed an additional $100.00 just to stay for two consecutive weeks. I requested an additional $400.00 to bring me closer to acquiring a full month but have thus far fallen short. I stayed there for a week and a half, but now I am homeless because I didn’t have enough to cover the second half of the week. I have two degrees, and I am getting an endorsement for my bachelor’s degree in criminology so that I can become a peer specialist aimed at helping others become sober and productive members of society. My original goal was to become a lawyer, but after seeing how many people are suffering homelessness in just the city of Atlantic, I decided to focus on relieving the shortfall of other people’s plight in this area, once I too became homeless. Please consider lending me your support and I promised to pay that support forward. There are many people in this city that are suffering homelessness due to a lack of support. Some of us would like to change our circumstances, we just need more assistance than Snap benefits or General assistance can provide.
