My name is Robert Stricklin. I’ve worked hard my whole life and I’m proud of raising three great children. But when I was younger, I lost my driver’s license, and it has been gone for nearly 18 years. Even without it, I always managed to get to work and share my resume when I had the chance.
A few years ago, I suffered two blood clots that went through my heart, and that changed everything. Since then, it has been much harder to keep steady work and maintain transportation. I had to sell my vehicle, and now I live 15 miles from the nearest jobs. Some months, I don’t even get to leave my home at all.
I am doing my best to move forward, but I feel trapped. Getting help to reinstate my license and work toward reliable transportation would make a world of difference. It would allow me to get back into steady employment, support myself, and regain independence.
If anyone can help—through advice, resources, or financial assistance—I would be deeply grateful. Even small support brings me one step closer to rebuilding.
Thank you for reading my story and for any kindness you can share.
