My name is Josh, and I’m trying to help my sister with the expenses that come with a liver transplant. She will be put off work for 3 months or longer. She has a little girl that’s her whole world and she would be lost with out her. Brittany has been battling with health issues for awhile, she needs to be able to get a break from all the hospital and doctors. She does have to go through phase 2 for the transplant that’s overnight away from her little girl.
Surgery will be in a Georgia Piedmont hospital. Her husband will have to have time off work also to care for her during this time.
If you cant support financially please pray for everyone around my sister and the health providers.
Trying to alleviate some of the stress to help the family heal.
Thank you for your time, support God bless you all. Stay safe.
There are two phases to the Liver Transplant Pre-Screening process. I completed the First phase last Thursday.
Phase 1: Liver Transplant Classes, meeting with dietician and meeting with Social Work.
Phase 2: An overnight stay at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital to do numerous scans and test to make sure I am otherwise healthy enough to have a liver transplant. This will happen in a few weeks. 🏥👨🏼⚕️
In the meantime I have lots of planning to do to be ready for when the time comes. I will have to stay in Atlanta close to the hospital for a month after discharge. I have to do a lot of fundraising to be able to afford it. I will have to have someone with me 24/7 so Greg will have to be out of work for awhile. I will be on anti-rejection medication the rest of my life. The worst part to me is the unknown and the wait. I don’t know if Emmy will be in school then or on summer vacation. I don’t want to miss her starting Kindergarten. A lot of unknowns and planning for multiple scenarios. 😬🤯
I am putting all my trust in God and laying this at His feet. I am praying that this process is smooth and that Emmy understands and is strong through the process as well. Praying that Greg stays strong and doesn’t get overwhelmed with everything. Prayers for all of us are appreciated. ✝️🙏🏼💗
