If You’re Reading This, I’ve Probably Crossed Over Jamming With Prince-Kevin Shelton
It’s not that I didn’t plan for my departure… I just truly believed I had more time.
I leave behind my beautiful daughters, my son, my sisters, my nieces and nephews, my friends, and of course — the Prince Fan Network (y’all know who you are).
I was a free-loving soul who found joy in simple things — the rhythm of the rain, the beauty of music, and the peace that comes from helping others. I believed in love, laughter, and living with purpose. And though my journey here ended too soon in October, my family is determined to celebrate the life I lived — fully, loudly, and in purple.
The military is graciously covering part of the expenses, but there are still costs that remain. My sister, Sean — yes, the prideful one who’s probably shaking her head as she types this — is doing everything she can to make sure I’m celebrated the way I lived: with heart, humor, and soul.
So I’m asking, through her, that if you can give what you can, it would mean the world to my family and me. Every donation, share, and kind word helps ensure my send-off is filled with love and light — just how I’d want it.
And of course, there will be a Prince-inspired celebration — because purple isn’t just a color, it’s a whole mood.
