Hello everyone,
You don’t know me, but I want to share a part of my life that’s deeply personal. I’m a father to a wonderful little boy, engaged to a truly amazing woman, and a proud veteran who’s always tried to live with integrity and take care of the people around me. Asking for help like this is something I’ve never been comfortable with — but right now, I’m doing it for them.
This is my second battle with cancer. The first was seminoma, a type of testicular cancer, which I was fortunate enough to overcome about seven years ago. Just recently, I paid off the last of the medical debt from that fight. Now, I’ve been diagnosed with thyroid cancer — a completely different challenge, but no less overwhelming. I had hoped to wait until next year to get medical coverage, but life had other plans.
Thyroid cancer often requires surgery to remove the thyroid gland, followed by radioactive iodine treatments and lifelong hormone therapy. It’s not just a one-time treatment — it’s a journey of constant monitoring and management, both physically and financially. I’m facing all of this again, and this time, I’m not just fighting for myself. I’m fighting to stay here and to protect my small family from the burden of medical debt if the worst should happen.
So here I am, setting aside my pride to ask for help. Any kind of support — whether it’s a donation, a kind word, or simply sharing this — would mean the world to us.
