Help make a 1-day “blitz” renovation possible! The Coalition for the Homeless is the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida. This non-profit organization works to transform the lives of homeless men, women and children by providing crucial services to end their crisis of homelessness. On an average night, the Coalition serves more than 600 men, women and children. Of that number, over 150 are children with an average age of seven years old. AEC Cares will bring together more than 100 industry volunteers to create a warmer and brighter space for homeless families. Our seventh annual blitz build, projectOrlando, will take place on April 26, 2017, the day before the 2017 AIA National Convention in Orlando.
- We will upgrade to the lobby, repairing flooring, fixing walls and installing artwork
- We will renovate the family dorm hallways, patching, and painting
- We will upgrade the family room, creating a brighter environment for families in need.
