Meet Nathan — a bright, loving, and courageous 6-year-old who brings joy to everyone around him. Nathan has a smile that lights up a room and a spirit that inspires those who know him. Like many children his age, he loves to play, laugh, and explore the world — but his journey comes with unique challenges. Nathan was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called **IRF2BPL** (Interferon Regulatory Factor 2 Binding Protein-Like), along with Autism.

IRF2BPL is an extremely rare condition that affects the brain and nervous system. The specific mutation Nathan has causes developmental delays, intellectual disability, and autism spectrum disorder. Nathan is still currently a non-speaker, but he communicates his needs and wants very well. He knows when he is being naughty or nice. (He doesn’t have the nickname “Naughty Nathan” for no reason!)

Because this condition is so rare, families often face uncertainty and limited resources while navigating care and treatment. Fortunately, he has been blessed that his aunt is in the pediatric field, and she has found the best therapists and doctors for him.

While at a conference, she met Dr. P, who was speaking about stem cell therapy for children like Nathan. That conference was the start of Nathan’s life doing a 180.

Before stem cell therapy, Nathan would stare into space, rock back and forth, not respond to his name, and barely interact with others. Now, he responds to his name, interacts with others, and will follow routine, one step directions.

Nathan received stem cells two years ago and we are hoping for him to receive them again before any possible regression occurs. The stem cells are a foundation blocks to his therapies working, and we truly believe in them.

Unfortunately, stem cells are very expensive (and Dr.P is far away), so the cost is a lot for us. While we don’t like asking for help, we know that everyone who knows him, reads about him, or hears his story falls in love with him and likes to support his journey.

Every donation — big or small — makes a difference in Nathan’s life.

You can support Nathan by:

• Donating to his fundraiser

• Sharing his story with friends and family

• Keeping Nathan in your prayers, thoughts and cheering him on

Together, we can help Nathan continue to shine, grow, and achieve amazing things.

Thank you for being part of his journey and for supporting our incredible little boy.

With gratitude,

💙**Team Nathan** 💙
