Desmond after his three treatment surgeries.
My 23 year old nephew Desmond Artois (aka Jacob Ryan) was in a catastrophic motorcycle accident Thursday night. He was the only one hurt. He was life-flighted to Oklahoma University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit where he underwent three different reconstructive operations over a four day period. He has multiple broken bones in three of his four limbs as well a broken pelvis, multiple broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and now a blood clot in his lung.
Desmond is heading to a short term rehabilitation facility to help heal. There he will again learn how to walk and feed himself. We have no idea when he will be able to care for himself let alone return to work.

‘’words from my brother about the accident.

From my brother Raymond Ryan
On Thursday evening, 25 July, I received a dreaded message from a stranger on Facebook telling me my oldest Son, Jacob, ( Desmond Artois ) was in a motorcycle accident near Lawton Oklahoma. I video messaged the kid on the screen. On live video he showed my son laying among rocks on the ground with EMS personnel working on him.

They evacuated my son via Helicopter to Oklahoma City for treatment.

I have been with him in the trauma center for seven days while they put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

His passion for safety gear saved his life. Even with his body armor, gloves, and helmet, he has two broken arms, a broken elbow, wrist, ankle, broken ribs, breaks in his pelvis, and a partially collapsed lung.

Your prayers are appreciated.

Please help him offset the medical expenses and care needs.
