I’m self-employed and need help paying for medical bills after receiving a full hysterectomy and uteritis tumor mass removal. I have stage 3 sarcoma uteritis cancer and had to cut my work hours for chemotherapy. My goal is to pay my medical bills from the hospital, and not feel stressed if I have a bad week and have to take off. my job is very mentally demanding and during a bad week it can be very difficult physically, but I’ve been able to push through. I have learned to manage my pain well but some days it’s hard getting out of bed. I have a supportive family and they help when they can, but there’s only so much that they can do. I’ve been going to chemo for about 3 months and have good insurance but during my hospital stay, I was at an uncovered facility due to an emergency. My insurance covered the doctors in their network, but a lot wasn’t covered. The total cost remaining is around $30,000.00, and with maintaining all of my other bills and using my savings to pay what I could, I have nothing left. I’m slowly trying to increase my hours to manage the added financial burden but the more work I have the more it requires from me on the weekends when I am recovering from my chemo treatment. I would appreciate any help no matter how small, and I understand with the economic decline, it can be hard, but every little bit adds up and can make a difference.
