I have known Art for several years. He is an eighty-year-old dedicated Christian man. He has held different positions in churches from Sunday school superintendent to adult Bible class teacher and has assisted in church buildings construction. He has been a skilled craftsman and worked hard all of his life. His Christian lifestyle has been an inspiration to many people.
In April 2023 he had an accident at work because of his heart condition that ended his ability to work. It is believed that he had a heart attack at work. That resulted in a major financial setback. Then in August, he triple-bypass open heart surgery and has pressing medical and other bills, and he needs a better, safer place to live.
Art has no family able to assist him.
Over the years, Art has lost two wives to death–one from breast cancer and one to diabetes and COPD, and a stepdaughter to lung cancer. Art gets very depressed at times. I am concerned about his wellbeing. He still wants to work but cannot. He attends church each week.
Eight years ago, he lost his wife from dementia and suffered a disastrous financial loss. Nursing homes and medical care cost them everything they had. They lost all of their property, home, and all income except government benefits.
Art has a burning desire to engage in evangelism and lead others to Christ. He is one of the best Bible scholars that I have ever known and has had many religious articles published and had a radio program for several years when he was younger.
Financial assistance is seriously needed.
