I am a 57 year old female that was  diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer on 2/20/2025.  I  am waiting for genetic test results so that I can decide which road I will take surgically.   I have been working in healthcare for the last 20 years as a Medical Assistant.  I am currently working 3 shifts in Urgent Care.  I have been told that once I start Chemotherapy and Radiation that I will not be able to work since Urgent Care presents a lot of illnesses.  I will be scheduling surgery soon.  I am possibly faced with having a double mastectomy.  I am praying that I will be a candidate for a Lumpectomy and get on with my life.  Being triple negative puts me  on a different stage in the breast cancer world.  I have already been faced with multiple copays and have fallen behind on my medical bills.  I am stressed out trying to figure out how I will pay car note, insurance, rent, and utilities once this all gets rolling.  I am also helping raise my 9 month old Grandson for his mom whom is battling PPD and alcohol abuse.  They are both living with me and my life has been pretty stressful for the last 18 months.  I never thought that I would need to reach out for help but I have to submit to the fact that, I need help.  My faith is being tested on a daily basis. I am trying so hard to be strong but there are many nights that I lay awake wondering what’s gonna happen when I can’t help myself,  I don’t want to have to worry about getting an eviction notice while I am trying to heal from a something that I never imagined would happen to me.  I truly feels like God is trying to get my attention and I am ready now!

Thank you for providing this platform.
