Many have asked what Father Mike needs or what they can do for him. The friends of Father Mike (you are one of them) have established a fund to help cover his assisted living expenses.
His journey to retirement started at Saint Kilian’s in Hartford, Wisconsin from 1979 to 1986. The next six years were spent at Our Lady of Lourdes on S. 58th St. in Milwaukee from 1986 to 1992. Then onto Corpus Christi Parish at 86th and Villard in Milwaukee for 12 years from 1992 to 2004. His most recent assignment was Saint Joan of Arc in Nashotah for 20 years from 2004 to 2024. During this time, he was asked to be the pastor of Saint Catherine of Alexandria in Mapleton from 2012 to 2024. He accepted and formed the cluster parish of Saint Catherine/Saint Joan of Arc.
He has influenced all our lives with his love for all people, his emotion and his devotion to the Catholic Church and the priesthood. His devotion started at an early age (eight years old.) when he would say mass in Latin to his siblings in the basement of his parent’s home in Wausau, Wisconsin. He has accepted his health challenges with the same determination he showed to become ordained.
The friends of Father Mike ask you to prayerfully consider a generous donation to help cover his assisted living expenses and to show the same love and appreciation for Father Mike that he has shown to all of us for the past 45 years! God bless you and Father Mike. Allelulia!
