Hello. I am Margie Gail Walston. I have acute leukemia and am at the present living with my sister and her family in Tampa, Florida. Due to being hospitalized for over a month in April of this year, I could no longer afford to pay rent and all my bills, so I moved from Mobile, Alabama.
My sister and her husband are allowing me to stay with them until I can find my own place but finding a place I can afford is near impossible, as I am on a very limited income – my social security. Not only am I in the house with my sister and husband, but also her two daughters and a grandson. It is truly a full house!
All I want is my own space for myself and Teko, my cat. I currently don’t have a closet to hang my clothes, share a bath with 4 others, and even though I love and appreciate my sister for opening her home to me during this trying time – I want my own place.
I am facing having treatments for the rest of my life – I know that much. I just want to live out my life in a place of my own – not having to worry about being in the way of others. I don’t need anything fancy. Just safe and comfortable.
I want to thank in advance anyone who finds my story worthy of a donation. I believe that God is taking care of me and I believe that He provides my needs. I also know that he uses His people to help others who find themselves in need.
